The college was started with a well-defined motive of ‘Empowering deprived Youth with
Quality Education’ and serving the society by making their humble contribution to education
especially for down-trodden and slum mass of the society. I deem it great privilege and pleasure
in welcoming you to Chh.Shivaji Night College of Arts and Commerce,Solapur. This is a time
when the higher educational system is undergoing a paradigm shift with seasonal changes in
curricula, industry demands and chaotic situation in the job market. Chh.Shivaji Night College of
Arts and Commerce,Solapur, concentrates on the holistic development of the individual apart
from imparting education of a high order. We have perhaps the best of highly qualified and
devoted faculty, with a good mentoring system in place. I am sure any student entering the
portals of this college would be a proud alumnus, when they graduate from here. Society, today
is witnessing fundamental changes and those are precisely because of quantum leaps that
information and technology are making in every sphere of our lives.

To cater the need of this constant change we need to undergo complete transformation of our
education system. Today education is must for every human being. We all must receive
education because it provides enjoyment, enhances one’s personality and most importantly
increases knowledge. As we all know, knowledge enables a human being to survive in this ever
changing and complex world. Keeping in mind the necessities of this deprived youth , droughtprone area, we are pledged to build our dream institution to provide every slum child a gateway
to touch a new horizon. Our first and foremost aim is to preserve for culture on the other hand we
need to bring an air of change into the mind of urban and rural youth. I cherish the dream to see
students of my college on the top benches of society. So my dear student, education is the only
way to polish innate abilities and to realize the real self. Our college is trying to provide all the
latest amenities for the overall development of urban and rural deprived youth such as spacious
classrooms, ICT equipment and playgrounds. We are progressing in the fields of sports and cocurricular activities. This institution is emerging as a boon to this deprived ridden area of North
Solapur We are putting every effort to give you better facilities. The construction of new block
and extension of the building is in full swing. Give us the opportunity to serve you with
enthusiasm and we assure you a bright future.
