To Impart formal and informal education to the children's of minority communitys in solapur city Late Mr,Abdul Karim Bawala Vakil, a noted advocate and muslim leader took initiative and setup an educational institution and the name UNION EDUCATION SOCIETY, SOLAPUR In 1944.

Union Education Society Solapur has established in 1944.It has successfully completed 65 years of its educational services to minority muslim community of Solapur.
        <br /><br />
        To impart formal and informal education to the children of the minority community in Solapur city Late Mr. Abdul Karim Bawalal Vakil,  a noted advocate and muslim leader took initiative and setup  an educational institute. The eminent personalities who associated with him for this venture extended their  co-operation and invested their money, labour, energy, time and devote their life for establishing the institute in this soil. As a result, this institution,  today is well developed and well established Muslim Institution in Solapur region which imparts education right from K.G classes to Under Graduation.

        The education activities of the institution started with the establishment of M.A. Pangal Anglo Urdu High School, Solapur in the year1944 and 1962 . After Establishment of primary School and High Schools, The Institution felt the need of setting  Junior college  for girls and boys for imparting education in Urdu medium. Consequently M.A Pangal Anglo Urdu Junior college and Qamarunnisa Karigar Girl’s Junior College come in to existence in the year 1975 and 1983 respectively.  The institute started Begum Qamarunnisa High School and in 1975 the Junior College. Naturally in due course of time it become a dream of the Managing office to set up  a senior college for Girls in Solapur. At last the Dream came true in the year 1989  with the establishment of senior college  for girls' under the name of U.E.S. Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Solapur the main architect of this senior college was Late President Abdul Aziz Sultan Saheb Shaikh, Ex- President of the Union Education Society, Solapur. This is the latest and significant achievement of the institute.

         Union Education Society’s Mahila Mahavidyalaya of Arts was established on 13th July 1989 in Solapur (Maharashtra) with the Mission “TO EDUCATE A GIRL IS TO EDUCATE A FAMILY”. Which has been imparting  valuable service in the fields of education to the residents of Solapur since 1944. The foundation stone of the Mahila Mahavidyalaya was laid by Hon’ble  Shri. Sharad Pawar,  the chief Minister of Maharashtra & Hon’ble Vijaysingh Mohite Patil.
